About Us
- Ponz, Lil Ponz, Real Lil Ponz and Baby Ponz
- We are two people who love each other unconditionally and we took a journey to Ethiopia to pick up our son. We started the adoption process again; however, we placed it on hold until 2011. God had a different plan for us this time and we welcomed home our daughter in April. We thank God everyday for our journey.

- January 11, 2009 - Arrive back home to the USA
- January 6, 2009 - Embassy Date
- December 15, 2008 - Meet Tegegn
- December 12, 2008 - Travel to Ethiopia via Indy to Detroit to Amsterdam to Sudan to Ethiopia
- November 25, 2008 - Court date in Ethiopia
- July 1, 2008 - Notified CWA that we are going to be his parents forever
- June 30, 2008 - Received second medical reports (he is growing!)
- June 23, 2008 - Confirmed that baby boy has been moved to CWA foster care center in Addis Ababa
- June 17, 2008 - Dossier has been translated into Amharic
- June 9, 2008 - Dossier arrived in Ethiopia
- May 30, 2008 - Received a call from Caring Hands saying the documents are being sent to Ethiopia
- May 28, 2008 - Received our REFERRAL!!!
- May 23, 2008 - Sent official dossier to Washington DC for authentication
- May 22, 2008 - Fingerprints at the USCIS office for FBI clearance
- May 21, 2008 - Received approval from CWA that dossier is approved
- May 17, 2008 - Sent copies of dossier to CWA in NC for approval
- May 16, 2008 - Picked up home study and documents from Bethany for dossier
- May 8, 2008 - CWA approves home study
- April 30, 2008 - Home study was approved
- April 16, 2008 - Mailed I-600A to USCIS office in Indianapolis
- April 15, 2008 - Home study
- April 14, 2008 - Education session at Bethany for home study
- April 11, 2008 - Appointment at Travel Clinic for all of our shots
- April 9, 2008 - Doctor Appointment for dossier
- April 5, 2008 - Completed Hague Training
- April 1, 2008 - Received 2nd round of hepitis A&B shots, a meningitis shot, and TB test
- March 17, 2008 - Fist home study session
- March 3, 2008 - Talked to social worker and scheduled our first meeting for our home study
- February 27, 2008 - Went to the Police Station to obtain clearnace letters for the home study and the dossier
- February 26, 2008 - Bethany Agency of Indiana received our documents to start our home study
- February 22, 2008 - Received items back from the Secretary of State
- February 21, 2008 - Received Sarah's passport with "Ponsler" last name
- February 18, 2008 - Mailed documents to Secretary of State for Authentication
- February 17, 2008 - Completed Adoption Parenting Test (2 hours of credit)
- February 11, 2008 - Received packet from CWA for all paperwork
- February 8, 2008 - Mailed contract to CWA
- February 6, 2008 - Attended CWA "webinar" orientation
- February 5, 2008 - Found out we are approved to adopt from Ethiopia
- February 2, 2008 - Submitted Application to CWA Agency
- January 29, 2008 - Name change for Sarah's passport

Best wishes on your travels. May they be uneventful until you get to Ethiopia. I'm anxious to see pictures of the baby!! You can celebrate his first birthday with him!! How exciting. You're in our thoughts and prayers as you continue on this wonderful journey.
